The Lindenwood men's hockey team travels to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan this weekend to take on Lake Superior State. The Lions are in search of their first win of the 2025-26 season after suffering a pair of losses against No. 20 Wisconsin at home last week.
Last Time Out
The Lions hosted No. 20 Wisconsin last weekend to open the 25-26 campaign, falling 3-0 on Friday and 7-2 on Saturday. After going 0-6 on power play opportunities in the season opener, the Lions scored a pair of power play goals in game two, with
Louis-Philippe Fontaine and
Giovanni Morneau converting for scores in the second period. Meanwhile,
Klayton Knapp posted 68 total saves across both contests.

- Friday will be the first ever meeting between Lindenwood and Lake Superior State.

- Meanwhile, William Ahlrik and Connor Milburn both recorded three assists. In total, 12 different Lake Superior skaters recorded points in the series.
- The Lakers started a different goalkeeper in both games, with Rorke Applebee getting the nod on Friday and Andrew Oke occupying the net on Saturday, Applebee posted 40 saves with three goals allowed, while Oke allowed two goals with 27 saves.
- The LSSU roster features one NHL draft pick, Tyson Galloway, who was selected in the 5th round of the 2021 draft by the St. Louis Blues.
- The Lakers posted a record of 4-10-1 on home ice last season.
