About The Leathernecks
On Thursday, Western Illinois picked up their fourth win of the season with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over SIUE on the road. Forwards Xavier Gagnon and Diego Porras each had a second half goal to complete the season sweep over the Cougars as both of WIU's conference wins in 2025 have come against SIUE. The Leathernecks are led by Forward Liam Gainey, who has six goals and two assists in his Senior campaign. On the defensive side of the ball, Goalkeeper Micah Ramirez has played all 18 games for WIU this season, stopping 81 shots and registering a GAA of 1.72. Ramirez's 81 saves leads the OVC and his GAA ranks fifth.

The matchup with Western Illinois marks the second meeting between these two teams in 2025. The Lions took down the Leathernecks on October 5 by a score of 2-0 in St. Charles as Sebastia Cerda Tous and Gavin Csiszar each had a goal in the contest to pick up the win.
