For the third time this season,
Rico Bond of the Lindenwood football team has been named the OVC-Big South Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.
Bond hauled in seven catches for 65 yards and found the end zone in the first quarter. The St. Louis, Mo. native now has six receiving scores on the year, tied for most in the Association.
So far this season, Bond has 50 receptions, which lead the team and rank second in the OVC-Big South. His 580 receiving yards ranks fifth and he has two 100-yard receiving games on the year.
Bond and the rest of the Lions return to the field on Saturday, hosting Eastern Illinois for Senior Day. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale at lindenwoodlions.com/tickets.
