EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Lindenwood women's volleyball team (10-14, 6-10 OVC) fell 3-1 on the road against Southern Indiana (16-12, 12-4) on Saturday evening.
Match Overview
USI opened set one on a 6-0 run before leading by as many as 11 points in the frame, but Lindenwood battled back with a 12-3 run that cut the deficit to just two. However, the Lions were unable to sustain their momentum and were outscored 4-1 down the stretch to concede the set.
Lindenwood remained within striking distance for much of set two before the Screaming Eagles pulled away with seven unanswered points on their way to a decisive 25-16 win. With their backs against the wall, Lindenwood responded to take set three 25-18 and extend the match, but ran out of steam in set four, falling 25-19.
Autumn Bax led the Lions with 14 kills on a .300 attack percentage while adding a trio of blocks.
Ashley Geluck was also in double-digit kills with 11 terminations.
Meanwhile,
Amelia Thro handed out 38 assists while
Dana Grib posted a team-high 17 digs.

Lindenwood concluded the regular season with a pair of home matches against Little Rock next week. Match one is set for Tuesday, November 18th at 6:00 p.m.
