Women's Basketball Visits Omaha on Saturday

The Lindenwood women's basketball team (3-1) hits the road to take on Omaha (1-4) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in Omaha, Neb.
 
Lindenwood won its third home game in a row to begin the 2025-26 season during its last time out. The Lions have now won 13-straight games inside Hyland Arena dating back to last season.
 
Brooke Coffey paced the offensive attack with a career-high 24 points on 11-of-14 from the field, while also grabbing 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. The St. Charles, Mo. native also dished out a career-high eight assists. Coffey was one of four Lions to record 10 or more points along with Aleshia Jones, Ellie Brueggemann and Mya Skoff.
 
It was the first double figure scoring game of the season as she poured in 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including three makes from beyond the arc off the bench. The Lions have had three or more players record 10 or more points in every game this season.
 
The Lions trailed at halftime 33-31, but outscored the Roos 49-38 in the second half to secure the win. It was the first win this year when trailing at halftime for the Black and Gold. So far this season, Lindenwood has a plus-63 scoring differential in the final 20 minutes of play.
 
As a team, Lindenwood handed out 20 assists on 32 made field goals in the win. The Lions are currently averaging 21 assists per game, which ranks 12th in the country. The Black and Gold have scored 75 or more points in all three wins this season and are averaging 81.5 points per game, second best in the OVC.
 
This matchup begins a six-game road trip for Lindenwood who will not return home until December 18. Following this contest, the Lions will play in a tournament in Hawaii, followed by games at Drake and Iowa.
