The Lindenwood women's basketball team (4-1) takes a three-game winning streak into the American Savings Bank Rainbow Wahine Showdown. The Lions will take on Santa Clara (5-2), Hawaii (4-0), and Vermont (4-2) in Honolulu from November 28-30.

In its last game, Lindenwood defeated Omaha 85-41 behind five double-digit scorers, led by
Brooke Coffey with 16. The ST. Charles, Mo. native picked up her second-consecutive double-double and third of the season after grabbing 11 rebounds. In two games last week, the junior guard averaged 20 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game.

Ellie Brueggemann,
Gracie Kelsey,
Gracy Wernli, and
Aleshia Jones who all recorded 10 or more points in the win. Brueggemann has now registered double-figures in every game this season and leads the team in scoring, averaging 16 points per contest.

The Owasso, Okla. native made four three pointers for the third time in five games to start the season and is shooting 43.6 percent from deep. Lindenwood made 12 threes in the game against Omaha and shot 46.2 percent from three-point range. Overall, the Black and Gold are connecting on 39.4 percent of their shots from beyond the arc, which ranks 20th in the country.

Jones was named the OVC Newcomer of the week after averaging 13 points, 2.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game. The 5-7 guard has four games this season with 10 or more points.

Three of Lindenwood's four wins have been by 10 or more points. So far this season, the Lions have a plus 27 scoring margin, which is the second best in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Black and Gold have scored at least 75 points in four games on the year and average 82.2 points per game, also second best in the conference.

Santa Clara, Hawaii, and Lindenwood are all receiving votes in the Mid Major Top 25. The Broncos sit at 5-2, while the 'Bows are 4-0 entering the MTE. It will be the first time that Lindenwood has played all three schools.

The Lions are amid a six-game road swing which started with the victory over Omaha last Saturday. Following the MTE, Lindenwood will take on Drake and Iowa on December 3 and 13, respectively.
