The Lindenwood women's basketball team (1-0) heads to Waco, Texas to take on No. 16 Baylor (1-0) on Sunday. Tip-off from Foster Pavilion is set for 2:00 p.m.

The Lions are coming off a dominant 107-23 victory against Harris Stowe on Wednesday. The 84-point win was the largest margin of victory in program history, surpassing an 83-point victory (113-30) in 2017. The 107 points were the most for the Black and Gold since 2021.

Lindenwood had five players in double-figures led by
Aleshia Jones who had 21 on 8-of-12 shooting off the bench.
Ellie Brueggemann scored 18,
Brooke Coffey and Allyssa Nielsen chipped in 15, while
Gracie Kelsey added 10. Coffey finished her day with a double-double, grabbing a career-high 13 rebounds

The Black and Gold shared the wealth in the win, handing out 31 assists on 38 made field goals. The 31 assists in a game were the most since February 9, 2017, when the Lions had 28 against Robert Morris - Springfield. Three Lions had five dimes or more, led by Coffey and
Valerie Norwood with six, which was a career-high for both players.

It was a complete performance all the way around for Lindenwood as the Lions held the Hornets to just 10 field goals on 17 percent shooting from the field and outrebounded them 59-29, including 19 offensive boards.

As a team, Lindenwood had 18 steals, which helped lead to 28 fastbreak points and 33 points off turnovers. Norwood led the way with five steals in her collegiate debut.

Baylor will be the second ranked team that Lindenwood has played in its Division I era. The Lions also played another ranked Big 12 team last season, falling to No. 25 Nebraska in Lincoln.
