The Lindenwood women's basketball team (6-2) heads to Des Moines, Iowa for their fourth game in six days. The Lions will take on Drake (1-5) on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.

The Lions are coming off a 58-54 win over Vermont last Sunday to close out the American Savings Bank Rainbow Wahine Showdown in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Brooke Coffey paced the offense with 15 points and 11 rebounds, securing her fourth double-double of the season.
Aleshia Jones added 14 points, her sixth straight game in double figures.

Jones was named the Tournament MVP after averaging 19.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists across the three games. The graduate guard was also named Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week for the second consecutive week. She began the tournament with a season-high 25 points against Santa Clara, including 15 in the fourth quarter, followed by 19 against Hawaii. The Leavenworth, Kan. native now leads the Lions in scoring, averaging 15.4 points per game. Coffey was also named to the All-Tournament Team. Â

Coffey has averaged a near double-double so far this season with 12.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. The St. Charles, Mo. native is second in the OVC with those 8.6 boards per game and has had seven or more in seven of eight contests so far this season.

In Lindenwood's two victories in Hawaii, the Lions allowed 56 points per game. So far this season, the Lions are 4-0 in games that they allow 60 points or less. Overall, the Black and Gold have allowed 59.1 points per game on the year, the third best mark in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Lindenwood has continued to shoot the ball well from deep, knocking down 38 percent of their shots from beyond the arc, the 22nd best percentage in the country and tops in the OVC. The Lions have hit 70 threes on the year so far, 10 more than any school in the conference.
Ellie Brueggemann paces the Lions with 23 makes from deep and is shooting almost 42 percent from three-point range.

This will be the second meeting between the two schools as Drake picked up a 87-60 win during the 2022-23 season. The Lions will take on No. 12 Iowa in their next game on Saturday, December 13 in Iowa City, Iowa. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
