Last Time Out
Lindenwood Men's Basketball extended their winning streak to six games on Saturday afternoon, defeating Harris Stowe by a score of 109-52. Mekhi Cooper recorded his second career double double in the contest, and was three rebounds shy of getting a triple double. The Junior from Bolingbrook, Ill scored 14 points, added a career-high 11 assists, and grabbed seven rebounds in the win over the Hornets. Seven different Lions scored in double figures and were led in scoring by Anias Futrell, who scored 16 points including a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line.

On the defensive side of the ball, Jadis Jones recorded a season-high four blocks to lead Lindenwood as the defense forced 23 Hornet turnovers and picked up 14 steals and nine blocks. The Lions will now turn their focus to Missouri State for their final non conference matchup of the 2025-26 regular season. 

Scouting The Bears
Missouri State enters the game against Lindenwood with an overall record of 5-5. All five of the Bears wins this season have been on their home floor. MSU has three players who are averaging 12 or more points and are led in scoring by Senior Forward Keith Palek III. Palek has scored 20 or more points in six of the Bears 10 games this season and has scored in double digits in all but one game so far this season. The Forward from Woodbine, N.J. also leads Missouri State in rebounding and assists, pulling down 7.3 boards per game to go along with his 18.4 points per game and his 3.6 assists per game. 

Defensively, the Bears are giving up 72.8 points per game and are averaging 6.9 steals and 3.8 blocks per game. They have held their opponents to 70 or less points in six of their first 10 games of the 2025-26 season. 

In the last meeting between the two squads, Missouri State defeated Lindenwood on December 19, 2023 in Springfield. Jaylon McDaniel scored a team-high 13 points in the loss shooting 5-11 from the field in the first all time meeting. The second all time meeting will take place on Tuesday afternoon in Springfield at 2 p.m.
