SYRACUSE, N.Y. – On Saturday, women's ice hockey took on Syracuse for game two of the series against the Orange. The Lions would fall 5-0 to Syracuse, with Lindenwood moving to 3-23-2 on the season and Syracuse improving to 10-20-0.
GAME OVERVIEW
Syracuse would get on the board early scoring 5:50 into the first period. Almost ten minutes later with 4:27 left in the period, Syracuse would extend their lead to two. At the end of the period, Lindenwood would trail Syracuse 2-0. In the period, Lindenwood had nine shots on net.
Madison Bowtell would stop six shots in net for the Lions.
In the second period, Syracuse found the back of the net twice to extend their lead to four. The Orange's first goal in the period, came with 5:01 left to go in the frame. Syracuse's second goal of the period, came with 44 seconds left, tallying their fourth goal of the day while on the power-play. The period would end with Syracuse leading 4-0. In the frame, Lindenwood had seven shots on net. Bowtell would make ten stops in the frame.
In period three, Syracuse would score their fifth and final goal of the game with 5:27 left in the frame, scoring on an empty net. In the frame, Lindenwood found 13 shots on net.
Catherine Hodgins would make nine saves for the Lions in net.
