The Lindenwood women's hockey team (5-26-2) fell in the AHA Quarterfinals to RIT (16-15-4) by a score of 4-0 on Saturday afternoon in Rochester, N.Y.
GAME OVERVIEW
RIT opened the scoring at the 6:20 mark, going up 1-0. The Tigers doubled their lead six minutes later on the power play, jumping in front 2-0. That would be the score after 20 minutes.
Anna LaRose made 14 saves during the opening period.
The Tigers struck again on the man advantage six minutes into the middle frame, extending the lead to 3-0. RIT would add another goal late in the second period to take a 4-0 lead into the third period.
In the third period, Lindenwood outshot RIT 10-8. The Lions tried to make a late push by pulling LaRose with just under five minutes to go in the game, but couldn't find the back of the net, falling 4-0 and ending their season.
