Green Bay got the action going on an unearned run in the first inning on a throw to home. Lindenwood responded in the bottom of the second inning with two runs on two hits. After Anna Sanders and Emily Geary reached safely, Henson and Darnell posted back-to-back RBI singles to put the Lions ahead 2-0.

After Noll scored on a wild pitch in the fourth inning (3-1 LWU), Lindenwood would score five runs in the fifth to go up 8-1. With the bases load, Henson drove in her second RBI of the day with a infield single. Darnell then delivered a bases clearing three RBI triple. Irelynn West then delivered an RBI single through the left side to put the Lions up seven.

Green Bay added one more run in the sixth inning before Heidrick shut down the Phoenix to secure the Lions' eighth win of the season.

GAME TWO
Lindenwood - 2
Valparaiso - 1

Lindenwood used a defensive effort in game two as they walked-off the Beacons after an RBI single from Teryn Brown capped off the perfect weekend for the Lions. Lindenwood did not record a hit until the fifth inning but were able to sweep Valpo for the season series.

Brown and Lauren Pelton delivered the two RBI for the Lions. Samantha Roulanaitis threw the first 2.2 innings in game two before Avery Wapp (W, 4-2) picked up the win in relief posting four strikeouts allowing just one hit.

Valparaiso struck first in the first inning after an error by Roulanaitis on the mound allowed both runners to advance, scoring one run. The Beacons held the Lions without a hit until the fifth inning of play. Noll singled up the middle for the first hit before Pelton drove her in with a pinch-hit RBI double to right field.

After the Lions had the bases loaded with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, Brown delivered a gap shot to right field to bring home Sanders as the Lions captured a 2-1 victory.
