The Lindenwood baseball team (9-11) picked up a 5-3 win over Memphis (10-8) on Saturday night in Memphis, Tenn.
GAME OVERVIEW
After a pair of hits in the first inning from
Tyler Thompson and Jake Radoseveich, Lindenwood got on the board when Radosevich eventually scored on a wild pitch, putting the Lions ahead 1-0. Memphis tied the game with a solo shot in the bottom half and took the lead, 2-1 with another in the third.
Eli Brown settled down on the mound as the game entered the sixth still 2-1. With one out, Radosevich doubled and one batter later
Sam Grunberg launched a go-ahead two-run homer to left to put Lindenwood up 3-2. The Tigers tied the game at 3 with a run in the seventh, but it didn't last for long as Grunberg gave the Lions the lead once again with another two-run shot, putting Lindenwood ahead 5-3.
The bullpen was terrific in this one with
Bennett Stice tossing two and two thirds, giving up just one run.
Easton Rakers finished off a clean ninth, picking up his second save and earning the win for the Lions, 5-3.
