The Lindenwood baseball team (17-20, 6-6 OVC) fell in a pitchers dual to SEMO (22-16, 9-4 OVC) by a score of 2-0 on Thursday night
GAME OVERVIEW
SEMO plated the first run of the game with a two-out single in the fourth. The Redhawks used another two-out rally to double its lead in the sixth, going up 2-0.
The Lions threatened in the top of the ninth with hits from
Bryson Arnette and
Tyler Thompson, eventually loading the bases with no one out. However, Lindenwood was unable to push a run across, falling 2-0 in the series opener.
Ethan Smith was strong on the mound, tossing 5.2 innings and allowing two runs, while
Bennett Stice went the final 2.1.
