The Lindenwood baseball team (22-22, 9-8 OVC) fell in the series finale at Western Illinois (13-26, 6-12 OVC) by a score of 1-0 on Sunday afternoon
GAME OVERVIEW
Eli Brown pitched out of a bases loaded jam in the fourth to keep the game scoreless. The pitchers duel continued into the seventh with each team combining for just six hits through six innings.
The Leathernecks finally broke through with a two-out hit in the seventh that brought home a run, putting them ahead 1-0. Lindenwood threatened in the eighth, putting two runners on but couldn't push the tying run across.
After a leadoff single by
Sam Grunberg in the ninth, the Lions couldn't get anything going and would drop the series finale 1-0.
