The Lindenwood baseball team (26-26, 13-10 OVC) dropped the final game of the series against Tennessee Tech (34-19, 16-8 OVC) by a score of 7-4 on Sunday in Cookeville, Tenn.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions got a two out, two run homer from
Sam Grunberg to open the scoring in the top of the first, but Tennessee Tech responded with a pair of its own, tying the game 2-2 after one inning.
Tech scored three in the third, and one in the fifth to take a 6-2 lead. Lindenwood cut into the deficit in the seventh with a two-out rally.
Bryson Arnette legged out an infield single and on the very next pitch,
Brodie Short launched a homer to right, closing the gap to 6-4. The Golden Eagles got a two-out home run of their own in the bottom half, pushing the score to 7-4.
Lindenwood was unable to get any closer during the later innings and fell by that 7-4 score.
