Nate Glantz to

After a defensive stop, another big play in the passing game got the second offensive drive going. One play later,
Steve Hall appeared to find the endzone but stepped out of bounds at the St. Thomas 24-yard line. Once again, the drive was halted and Lindenwood was unable to get on the board. The defense held the Tommies to just 28 yards in the first quarter, and the score was tied at zero.

St. Thomas was the first team to get on the board with just over five minutes to go in the half, taking a 7-0 lead. On the ensuing offensive possession for Lindenwood, Krobath and Glantz connected for another 40-yard pass and the drive was eventually finished off BY
Jared Rhodes from one-yard out to tie the game at seven, which would be the score at the half.
