Lindenwood Women's Hockey starts their season on Friday, September 19 and Saturday, September 20 on the road in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The Lions are coming off a five win season in 2024-25 and will look to turn things around in 2025-26 under third year head coach Taylor Wasylk. The team will look to win their second season opener in three seasons under Wasylk.

New Look Lions
The 2025-26 roster includes nine freshmen and three transfers. Among the transfers is goaltender Lexington Secreto, who comes from Ohio State Univeristy where she played three seasons with the Buckeyes. Secreto allowed one goal in 74 minutes and posted her first career shutout last season against Stonehill. She brings experience to the Lions roster as she is a one-time National Champion, two-time National Runner up, two-time WCHA Regular Season Champion, and an AHCA All-American Scholar.

The other two transfers are Defensemen Pusle Dyring-Andersen and Nicole Pietrucha. Dyring-Andersen comes from Stonehill where she appeared in 67 games in two seasons registering three goals and 18 assists. Pietrucha transferred from Adrian College where she scored five goals to go along with 15 assists in 54 games played. The three transfers all bring in experience to a roster that has only seven upperclassmen.

Among the nine Freshmen, Michaela Paulinyova will look to make an immediate impact as a Forward. In high school, Paulinyova played for the OHA Mavericks Tardiff U22 team where she scored 57 goals in 94 games and also played for HOBA Bratislava where she recorded 23 points in 17 games played. Another Freshman that will look to make an impact includes Forward Claudia Castellanos. The native of Spain played for the Newark Ironbound 19U AAA team last season where she played in 43 games scoring 19 goals and added 20 assists.

Among the returners, Lindenwood brings back two of their top point scorers from a season ago in Silje Gundersen and Zsofia Pazmandi. Gundersen finished the 2024-25 season with six goals and seven assists, while Pazmandi ranked second on last year's squad with eight goals and six assists.

Molly Henderson and Josey Dunne have been chosen as the captains for the 2025-26 season as Henderson will wear the A and Dunne will wear the C.

About St. Cloud State
St. Cloud State has a new coach behind the bench this season as first year head coach Mira Jalosuo takes over the Huskies Women's hockey program. The Huskies appeared in the WCHA Conference tournament where they fell in the first round to Minnesota Duluth.
