Preview
The Lindenwood women's soccer team opens Ohio Valley Conference play this weekend with a home match against Southeast Missouri. The Lions enter conference play as the defending OVC Tournament champions and currently possess the best record in the conference. LU is 1-2-3 all-time against the Redhawks, with a 1-1-3 record since joining the OVC in 2022. Lindenwood tied 0-0 with SEMO in Cape Girardeau last season before a dominant 4-0 win over the Redhawks in the OVC Tournament. This week's action is set to get underway at 1:00 p.m. Sunday.

Last Time Out
The Lions battled to a 0-0 draw at Indiana State on Sunday to conclude nonconference play. It was the Lions' fourth shutout performance of the season as Caroline Ritter posted eight saves. Anna Johnson led the Lindenwood offense with four total shots in the contest with one shot on goal. Allison Schrumpf added three shots (1 SOG), while Mackenzie Compton and Tasneem Dizdarevic both contributed a pair of shots, including two shots on goal for Dizdarevic.

OVC AT A GLANCE: Entering conference play, Lindenwood possesses the best overall record in the OVC at 3-2-3. The Redhawks enter Sunday's contest with an overall record of 0-9-0 following a 0-6 road defeat at Xavier on Wednesday. SEMO has been outscored 32-6 by their opponents this season.

They have taken 57 total shots this season, averaging 6.33 attempts per game, which is second fewest in the OVC.

Justi Nelson leads the Redhawks with eight points on three goals and two assists, accounting for all but one of SEMO's scores this season.

They have allowed the second most goals in the conference (32) on 193 total shots. Madison Geisler leads the team with 43 saves through five appearances.
