Preview
After opening conference play with a win, the Lindenwood women's soccer team continues OVC play this week against UT Martin. The Lions are 2-1 all-time against the Skyhawks with both wins coming on the road, including a 2-1 LU victory last season. The action is set to get underway on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. from Hunter Stadium.  

Last Time Out
The Lions picked up a 1-0 win over Southeast Missouri to begin conference play on Sunday afternoon. Allison Schrumpf connected with Anna Johnson on a free kick in the 64th minute for the game winning goal. It was Lindenwood's fifth shutout of the season, which is tied for most in the OVC. The Lions outshot the Redhawks 22-9 with 10 shots on goal compared to just three for SEMO.

WEEKLY ACCOLADE: Anna Johnson was named OVC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring the game winning goal against SEMO on Sunday. Johnson headed a free kick from Allison Schrumpf in the game's 64th minute that found its way past the SEMO goalkeeper and into the top left corner of the net.

OVC AT A GLANCE: Heading into Thursday, Lindenwood sits atop the OVC standings at 1-0-0 in conference and 4-2-3 overall. Joining them at the top of the table with three points are Eastern Illinois and Morehead State. Little Rock, Southern Indiana, UT Martin, and Tennessee Tech have one point apiece with SIUE, Western Illinois and SEMO rounding out the standings with zero points.

UT Martin enters Thursday's matchup with an overall record of 0-4-6. The Skyhawks drew with Southern Indiana in their OVC opener on Saturday.

UTM has only scored two goals this season, which is tied for fewest in the OVC despite taking the fourth most shots (112) and most shots on goal (48) in the conference.

Meanwhile, the Skyhawks have only allowed six goals this season, which is tied with Lindenwood for fewest in the OVC. Goalkeeper Mac Titus has 42 saves with a .913 save percentage.

Martin is led by third-year head coach Mike Varga.
