The Lindenwood Lions Men's Soccer team tied for the first time all season last Friday on the road at UTRGV by a score of 0-0. The Lions were out shot for the first time all season long (14-9) and had a late penalty kick in the 89^th minute, but missed it to keep the game scoreless. Quinn Closson recorded his OVC leading fifth shut out of the season and recorded six saves in the contest.

The Cougars enter conference play with an overall record of 1-6-0 with their only non conference win coming over Air Force on the road. SIUE has won the OVC Conference Tournament the last two seasons in a row, and the Lions are currently 0-5-1 all time against the Cougars.
