Preview
After a 3-0 start to the season, the Lindenwood women's volleyball team heads to Springfield this week to take part in the Mary Jo Wynn Invitational on the campus of Missouri State. The Lions will take on MSU, DePaul, and UTSA over the three-day event.
Lindenwood is 0-1 all-time against Missouri State, with the Bears taking a 3-1 win in their only meeting during the 2023 season. The Lions have never faced DePaul or UTSA.
Last Time Out
The Lions went a perfect 3-0 at the Hampton Inn and Suites Seahawks Classic over the weekend with wins over UNC Wilmington, NC Central, and Virginia Tech.

Notes To Know
Lindenwood is 3-0 for the first time since the 2019 season, and for the first time since making the move to Division-I.
Meghan Donoughue was named OVC Setter and Freshman of the Week after recording 108 assists (9.00 APS), 32 digs, 16 kills, and seven blocks at the Seahawks Classic, including a pair of double-double performances against UNCW (38 assists-16 digs) and Virginia Tech (41 assists-11 digs).
Autumn Bax was named MVP of the Seahawks classic after posting 37 kills (3.08 KPS) with four blocks for a total of 39.0 points. She recorded double-digit kills in all three matches.
Jade Roth and
Ashley Geluck were named to the All-Tournament team. Roth scored a team-high 39.5 points over the weekend with 34 kills (2.84 KPS) and nine blocks. Meanwhile, Geluck went for 25 kills, 10 kills, and seven service aces.
Following the first weekend of play, Lindenwood is leading the OVC with a .247 hitting percentage while limiting their opponents to a conference-low .121 hitting percentage.
Scouting Report
Missouri State – The Bears enter this weekend with an 0-3 record following a trio of 1-3 losses against Oklahoma, Abilene Christian, and Incarnate Word. The MSU attack is fronted by Rilynn Finley with 27 kills. Finley led the Bears with 373 kills last season.
DePaul – The Blue Demons are 2-1 with wins over Oakland and Western Michigan with a loss against Illinois State. Morgan Stewart leads the team with 52 kills for an average of 4.33 kills per set. She totaled 28 points against Oakland on 22 kills, five blocks, and three aces.
UTSA – The Roadrunners are 0-2 following losses to Stephen F. Austin and Texas State. Ally Tribe (23 kills) and Caroline Tredwell (22 kills) lead the UTSA attack.

Lindenwood will have next weekend off before traveling to Iowa City for the Hawkeye Invitational. The Lions will face East Texas A&M on Saturday, September 20th at 2 p.m. before taking on Iowa Sunday, September 21st at 2 p.m.
