The Tommies struck in the first two minutes of the game to immediately grab an early 1-0 lead. Lindenwood would respond in a big way on both sides of the ball as the defense would allow two shots the rest of the first half and the offense would score four goals in the final 43 minutes of the opening half to take control of the game. Cerda Tous tied the game in the 12th minute off a pass from Blake, and five minutes later the Lions grabbed the lead as Blake would score off a pass from Cerda Tous. Jarred Hendricks and Matteo Landais would add on to the lead later in the first half as the Lions would take a 4-1 lead into the locker room, and would hang on to get the 5-1 win as Gavin Csiszar would score a goal early in the second half off of a rebound that was shot by Bruno Fornes.
