Brooke Coffey of the Lindenwood women's basketball team has been named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Coffey helped the Lions pick up two wins last week over SIUE and Little Rock. In the victory over the Cougars, Coffey poured in a career-high 29 points on 12-of-15 shooting, including 4-of-5 from three-point range. The St. Charles, Mo. native nearly had a double-double, grabbing nine rebounds and adding five assists.

For the week, Coffey averaged 18.5 points, 7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game. The junior guard shot 75 percent from the field and made 86 percent of her shots from beyond the arc.

So far this season, Coffey is averaging 13.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2,8 assists per game. She is shooting 53.9 percent from the field on the year, tops in the conference.

Coffey and the rest of the Lions will be back in action on Thursday, taking on SEMO in Cape Girardeau. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m.
