Lindenwood Women's Hockey was swept for just the second time during Conference play on their home ice back on January 3 and 4 falling by scores of 1-5 and 1-2 (OT) to Mercyhurst. Tatiana Blichova scored both goals for the Lions in that series, and is now tied with Zsofia Pazmandi for the team lead in both points (17) and goals scored (8). The Overtime game marked the fourth time this season in which the Lions headed to an extra frame and Lindenwood is 0-2-2 in those four contests with all four taking place at Centene Community Ice Center. 

About Delaware
The Blue Hens are in their first year of Division One Hockey and are currently 2-22-0 on the season. The Blue Hens are led by Former Lindenwood Lion Kaitlin Finnegan, who has six goals on the season and nine total points in 24 games played. Delaware leads the nation in team saves with 997 and Freshman Goaltender Charlotte Payne leads the team with 512 saves across 13 games played. Payne enters the series with the Lions posting a 3.63 GAA and a save percentage of .918. She has been in goal for both of the Blue Hens' wins this season. 

In the first all-time series between Lindenwood and Delaware, the two teams split the series in Fred Rust Arena back on November 14 and 15. In the Lions shutout victory over Delaware, Silje Gundersen recorded her second multi-point game of the season as the Sophomore Forward scored two goals and added an assist in a 5-0 victory on November 15. Lexington Secreto recorded her only shutout of the season in the previous contest with the Blue Hens, making 19 saves to pick up her second career shutout.
