The Lindenwood women's basketball team (11-5, 3-2 OVC) picked up a dominant 84-65 win over SIUE (8-7, 1-4 OVC) behind a career-high 29 points from

GAME OVERVIEW
Both teams shot 56 percent from the field in a high-scoring first quarter. Lindenwood led 7-4 early after a three from
Brooke Coffey, but the Cougars answered back and took a five-point lead, 18-13 with just over three minutes to go in the quarter. SIUE led 23-19 after 10 minutes of play. Coffey paced the Lions with nine early points.
Lindenwood's hot shooting continued into the second quarter as
Ellie Brueggemann picked up her 1,00
th collegiate point after a three cut the deficit to 26-24. A few possessions later, Coffey buried another three that put the Lions in front 29-26 which forced an SIUE timeout. The Black and Gold continued to grow the lead throughout the middle frame and held a 39-32 advantage at the break. Coffey had 14 points at halftime, and the Lions shot 55 percent overall.
Coffey picked up right where she left off and buried a three to open the third, extending the lead to 42-32. The Lions would continue the hot shooting on its next few possessions with threes from Coffey and Brueggemann once again, growing the lead to 50-34. Coffey finished the frame with 13 points to give her a career-high 27 for the game. Lindenwood held a 61-44 lead after three.
SIUE scored the first four points of the fourth to close the gap to 61-48 and Lindenwood called timeout. The Lions were able to settle back down and regain control with some stops on the defensive end.
Aleshia Jones picked off a pass and took it the other way for two, putting the Lions up 67-49. A few minutes later, Coffey grabbed a rebound off a missed free throw and found Brueggemann for her third three of the game. The Lions would go onto win 84-65 behind a career-high 29 points from Coffey.
