BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Lauren Ortwerth has won her third Ohio Valley Conference Rookie of the Week award following a strong performance at Southeast Missouri over the weekend. She is the only OVC player to be named Rookie of the Week multiple times this season.

Ortwerth continued to impress with 27 total kills (3.38 KPS) against the Redhawks, registering double digits in both matches. She led the Lions with 16 kills in their 3-1 win on Friday, averaging four kills per set, before tallying 11 more kills (2.75 KPS) on Saturday.

Ortwerth has 192 total kills (3.00 KPS) this season, which is second most among Lindenwood players while ranking as the eighth highest total in the OVC. Her .256 hitting percentage is the 10th best average in the conference.

The Lions host Southern Indiana this weekend to continue OVC play. Match one is set for 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16th with match two following on Saturday the 17th at 2:00 p.m.
