On Wednesday morning, the Ohio Valley Conference announced its Men's Basketball Players to Watch list for the upcoming 2026-27 season. Lindenwood was represented by Sophomore guard Kellen Robinson and Senior guard Xavier Spencer. Both players transferred to Lindenwood this offseason and will look to make an impact for the Lions during the upcoming campaign.
Robinson transferred from Little Rock after graduating from Bryant High School in Bryant, Arkansas, where he was ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the state. The 6'3 guard averaged 24.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game over his final two high school seasons while helping lead his team to back-to-back state championships. Robinson did not appear in a game during his Freshman season at Little Rock after sustaining a preseason injury.
Meanwhile, Spencer transferred from UMass Lowell, where he earned Third Team All-America East honors during the 2025-26 season. The 6'1 Senior started all 33 games for the River Hawks, averaging 11.9 points and 4.4 rebounds in more than 33 minutes per game. He also recorded 96 assists, 41 steals, and nine blocks while shooting 34.9 percent (51-for-146) from three-point range.
Prior to UMass Lowell, Spencer spent his first two collegiate seasons at Carleton University in Canada, where he earned U Sports Rookie of the Year and OUA Rookie of the Year honors. He was also named to both the U Sports and OUA All-Rookie Teams, earned OUA Third Team All-Star recognition as a freshman, and was named an OUA Second Team All-Star as a sophomore.
Additionally, Spencer represented the Antigua and Barbuda national team at the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Pre-Qualifiers tournament during the summer of 2026. He helped lead his team to the second round, averaging 18 points, five rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game across four appearances.
Robinson, Spencer, and the rest of the Lions will begin their season on Monday, November 2 at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas.
