The Lindenwood Men's Soccer team returns to action tomorrow afternoon as they play host to Houston Christian in a highly anticipated rematch of the 2025 OVC Tournament Championship Match, where the Lions prevailed in a penalty-kick shootout.
The Lions are coming off their first win since September 4 after defeating Incarnate Word by a final score of 2-0 on Thursday afternoon. The victory kept Lindenwood unbeaten through their first two Ohio Valley Conference matches. The Lions scored twice in the second half, with Ryan Holmes converting a penalty kick in the 56th minute before Jeremiah Trusty extended the lead in the 90th minute with his first collegiate goal. The win moved Lindenwood into second place with four points in the OVC standings and improved their home record to 3-1-1 on the 2026 season.

- Ryan Holmes has scored both Penalty Kick goals for the Lions in 2026. The two PK goals are the most by a Lion in a single season since Ethan Blake scored three in 2024.Â
