The Black and Gold outscored the Skyhawks by 17 in the second and third quarters to help seal the win.

The 49 points were the fifth fewest allowed by Lindenwood in a game this season as they held the Skyhawks to 36 percent shooting from the field. The Black and Gold affected shots near the rim with five blocks on the night, their second highest total in a game this season. Jones along with Brueggemann each had two apiece.

Mya Skoff was the other Lion in double figures with 13, scoring 10 or more points for the third consecutive game. The Bellevue, Neb. native has averaged 15 points per game during that time and has been an efficient scorer while doing so, shooting 50 percent from the field, 54 percent from three, and 92 percent from the charity stripe.

As a team, the Lions have been outstanding from the free throw line during the winning streak, going 43-of-46, good for 94 percent from the stripe. So far this season, Lindenwood is shooting a strong free throw percentage at 77.1 percent, which ranks top 30 nationally.

With a win over SEMO on Saturday, the Lions will sweep the season series over the Redhawks for the second consecutive season. The Lions would also secure back-to-back 20-win campaigns for the first time since doing it during the 2017-18, and 2018-19 seasons.
