The Lindenwood women's volleyball team continues their residency in the state of Illinois at the Linda Herman Volleyball Classic in Normal this weekend. The Lions are set to square off against Purdue Fort Wayne at 2:00 p.m. on Friday followed by a date with Illinois State at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Ashley Geluck and
Kaci Johnson both earned Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week honors following their performances over the weekend. Geluck was named Defensive Player of the Week after recording 12 total blocks over three matches for an average of 1.20 blocks per set while Johnson collected 112 total assists for an average of 11.20 assists per set to earn Setter of the Week recognition.
Scouting Report
- Purdue Fort Wayne: The Mastadons enter this weekend with an overall record 3-4 after winning one out of three contests at the Miami/Best Western Invitational last weekend. PFW opened the season with a signature win over Rutgers by a score of 3-2. They lead the Horizon League and rank 17th nationally in total kills (347) while ranking 11th in team assists (334). The Mastadon attack is led by Riley Rosneck (116 kills) and Trinity Rye (104 kills), who both rank in the top 20 nationally in kills.
- Illinois State: The Redbirds are winners of five straight and own overall record of 5-1. Offensively, ISU is led by Ruth Ziegler with 52 kills on a .355 hitting percentage. Ziegler also ranks 10th nationally in aces per set (0.80) and 13th in total service aces (16).

Lindenwood wraps up nonconference play at the CEFCU Invitational in Peoria next weekend. The Lions will face New Mexico State at 10:00 a.m. and UTRGV at 4:30 p.m. on Friday before the weekend finale against Bradley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
