Last Time Out
The Lindenwood Women's Hockey team is coming off a series sweep over Post University last weekend, winning both games on the road by scores of 5-0 and 7-0. Paige Cline led LU in goals scored with three, while Freshman Krisztina Weiler recorded five assists in two games to take the team lead in points. The back-to-back shutouts at Post marked the first time that the program has recorded back-to-back shutout victories since January 17-18, 2020 when the Lions swept RIT at home by scores of 3-0 and 2-0. The Lions are looking to start 3-0 for the first time in LU's NCAA era (2011 2012 - present), while the 2-0 start is the second time ever that the Lions have done so during the LU NCAA era (2023-24 season). 

Lion's Storylines

• The 12 new additions to the 2026-27 roster produced 14 of Lindenwood's 32 points in the opening weekend series at Post University. 
• Six different skaters scored their first career NCAA goals last weekend. (Tatem Starlight-Yellowfly, Raquel McCormack, Maddalena Bedont, Elina Zilliox, Thea Rustbakken, and Tilde Simensen)
• Ebba Ridderstolpe picked up her first career NCAA shutout in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Eagles, while Madison Bowtell added her second career shutout in the season opener. 
• Head Coach Max Gavin secured his first NCAA win as a Head Coach in Friday's 5-0 victory at Post. 

About Merrimack

• Merrimack opened their preseason last weekend with a 7-1 win over Stonehill. Junior Forward Madison Vittands scored a hat trick for the Warriors, who entered the preseason with three career goals through 58 games played. 
• The Warriors split the season series with the Lions in 2025-26, falling 6-3 in the series opener before bouncing back in the series finale with a 3-1 win. Paige Cline and Tatiana Blichova combined for three goals in Lindenwood's 6-3 win to pick up the first victory of the 2025-26 season for the Lions. 
• The Warriors return their top point scorer from a season ago in Senior Forward Emma Pfeffer. Pfeffer scored 10 goals and added 11 assists to finish the season with 21 points. Seven of her goals scored were via the Power Play.
