As a sophomore for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, appeared in 49 games making 48 starts ... picked up 28 hits including seven doubles, one triple and one home run ... scored 16 runs and drove in 13 ... walked 12 times and was hit by three pitches ... was 5-for-7 on stolen base attempts ... had 85 putouts and 13 assists defensively ... went 3-for-3 with an RBI against Prairie View A&M on Feb. 20 ... was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored against Central Arkansas on March 5 ... hit a home run at Prairie View A&M March 3.

2018
Played for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and appeared in all 52 games while starting 50 times ... hit .227 with 30 hits, five doubles and five homeruns ... drove in 20 runs and crossed the plate 25 times ... drew 19 walks and was 6-for-8 on stolen base attempts ... had a .946 fielding percentage with nine errors in 167 chances ... credited with 74 putouts, 84 assists and caught five runners attempting to steal.

High School
Attended Seguin High School ... helped lead the Matadors to their first winning season in three years with a 19-11 mark in 2016 ... as a senior, Wendel hit .507 with seven home runs ... part of the Matadors' 2015 and 2016 Bi-District Championships ... tabbed All-District and All-Area in each of her first three seasons ... named the Area Player of the Year in 2016 ... competed as a powerlifter for Seguin High School.
