Victoria Lavell is entering her third season as a graduate assistant coach on the Lindenwood field hockey staff. She is in charge of the goalkeepers.
In her first season, she coached Victoria Gil who played every minute in goal. Gil had a 3.04 GAA and a .688 save percentage for the season. She had two shutouts and had eight games allowing two or less goals.
During her playing career, Lavell was a goalkeeper for Rutgers University from 2009-2012. While there, she started in 22 games, and traveled to the Big East Tournament in 2010, where the Scarlet Knights finished fourth. In 2010, Lavell was named as a Big East Academic All - Star Selection, as well as being a member of the 2012 team that earned fifth in the nation for highest team GPA. Off the field, Lavell was named to the Dean's list twice at Rutgers.
Lavell graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, and is working toward a masters degree in school counseling.
Lavell is a native of Haddon Township, N.J., and graduated from Bishop Eustace Preparatory in Pennsauken, N.J.
