2013- Appeared in three games … was the backup center … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

2012- Redshirted ... named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

High School:
First-team all-state as a senior ... also earned first-team all-area in 2011 ... unanimous first-team all-district during his junior and senior seasons ... helped his team reach the Class 3A State Championship game.

Personal:
The son of Carol and Steve Merka ... has two siblings, Jordan and Cade ... an undeclared major.
