    Football Assistant Coach
Alex Pfannenstiel is in his third season on the Lindenwood football staff in 2015, including his second year as a full-time assistant coach. Pfannenstiel is in charge of Lindenwood’s offensive line.

Last season, Pfannenstiel helped coach Jacob Heneisen to honorable mention all-MIAA honors, and he was in charge of an offensive line that improved throughout the season with two freshmen and one sophomore among its regular lineup. The line helped the quarterback to have time to pass for nearly 260 yards a game, and it allowed just one sack for every 20.6 passing plays.

In 2013, Pfannenstiel helped an offensive line that returned just one starter from the previous year. The offensive line allowed just one sack every 25 pass attempts and helped Lindenwood have one of the best passing games in school history. Jose Zuniga was named a third-team all-conference selection and Jacob Heneisen was an honorable mention all-MIAA pick.

Prior to coming to Lindenwood, Pfannenstiel was a coach at Capital High School in Helena, Mont. From 2010-12. He coached seven all-conference and all-state performers, and was a member of the staff in 2011 when Capital High School won the AA State Championship.

Pfannenstiel was a four-year starter at Carroll College in Helena from 2005-09. He helped Carroll win two national championships, and he was a two-time NAIA All-American on the offensive line.  He was an all-conference and all-state player at Central Catholic High School in 2005.

Pfannenstiel, a native of Portland, Ore., graduated from Carroll in 2010 with a degree in history and political science in secondary education.
