Austin Bell is in his first season on the Lindenwood football coaching staff in 2016. He is the team’s running backs coach, and is also the offensive director of recruiting.
 
Bell comes to Lindenwood from The Ohio State University where he was the assistant tight ends coach for three seasons. The Buckeyes went 38-4 in that span and had the longest win streak in school history. They won the 2014 Big Ten Championship, 2014 Sugar Bowl, 2014 College Football Playoff National Championship, and the 2015 Fiesta Bowl.  Among the players he coached were Jeff Heuerman, a third-round draft pick to the Denver Broncos, and Nick Vannett, a 2016 draft pick.
 
Bell worked at ESPN from 2010-2013 as a camera operation and broadcast utility. He assisted on a variety of live events including NFL Monday Night and Thursday Night Football, NCAA Football, basketball, and volleyball.
 
Bell, a native of Cincinnati, graduated from Ohio State with a bachelor’s degree in business-corporate finance, and a minor in consumer sciences.
