Career- Through the 2015 season, has appeared in 31 games, and started 22 contests … has recorded 85 tackles, 14.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
 
2015- Appeared in all 11 games, and started seven contests … earned the team’s Hard Hat award for the Emporia State contest … collected 34 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one pass breakup … had at least one tackle in every game but one … had a season-high nine tackles versus Missouri Western, including three solo stops, and also broke up a pass … had a 12-yard sack late in the fourth quarter versus Missouri Southern to help the Lions hold on to a victory … in the win over Nebraska-Kearney, forced a third-quarter punt with a tackle for loss for a third-and-one play … had 29 of his 34 tackles on running plays … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
 
2014- Appeared in 11 games, and started nine contests … recorded 30 tackles, including 14 solo tackles … third on the team with 6.0 tackles for loss … also had 1.5 sacks and two forced fumbles … collected season-highs six tackles against Nebraska-Kearney and Central Oklahoma … recorded at least one tackle in every game but one … collected at least an assisted tackle for loss in six games … had 26 tackles on rushing plays, three on passing plays, and one on punt coverage … had 2.0 tackles for loss against Nebraska-Kearney … assisted on a sack in three games … forced a turnover with a forced fumble against Central Oklahoma … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
 
2013- Honorable mention all-MIAA ... appeared in all nine games and started six contests at the defensive tackle position … recorded 21 tackles … finished second on the team with 5.5 tackles for loss, and was third with 2.0 sacks … twice recorded 2.0 tackles for loss in games with Lincoln and Missouri S&T … had a season-high five tackles versus Lincoln … had season-high of three solo tackles in four games … collected sacks against those two teams also … 17 of his tackles were solo stops … had at least one tackle in every game but two … recorded 18 tackles on running plays … recovered a fumble in the Missouri S&T game, and also forced a fumble on a third-down play that forced a fourth-quarter punt in a seven-point game … received the team’s Hammer Award for the Missouri S&T contest … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
 
High School:
An offensive lineman for a Skyline team which went 12-2 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Texas state tournament.

The son of Deborragh and Archie Lawson … has one sibling, Brillanta … a psychology major.
