Career- Has played in 17 games through the 2015 season … has recorded 40 tackles, 23 solo tackles, and has one fumble recovery.
 
2015- Appeared in all 11 games during the season … was named a Scout Player of the Week for the Pittsburg State contest … collected 29 tackles, including 15 solo tackles … second on the team in special teams tackles with 13 … tied for the team-high with five tackles on kickoff coverage and was second with eight on punt coverage … also had five tackles on running plays and 11 on passing plays … recovered a fumble on kickoff coverage versus Northeastern State … had season-high of five tackles against Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri … had season-high three solo tackles versus Missouri Western … had at least one tackle in every game but one … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, and received the MIAA Academic Excellence award.
 
2014- Played in the final six games of the season … recorded 11 tackles on the season … was one of the team’s top kickoff coverage players with three tackles on kickoffs … had seven tackles on rushing plays and one on a pass play … eight of his 11 tackles were solo stops … had a season-high three tackles against Missouri Southern and Central Oklahoma … had a stop for no gain on a third-and-one play inside the Lindenwood 10-yard line against Central Oklahoma … was the team’s Scout Defensive Player of the Week for the Washburn game, and the team’s Iron Man award winner for the Emporia State contest … earned both the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and MIAA Academic Excellence awards.

2013- Redshirted … named the Scout Team Offensive Player of the Week for the Emporia State contest … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, and received the MIAA Academic Excellence award.
 
High School:
A first-team all-district pick as a defensive back … recorded six interceptions and made 74 tackles as a senior … helped Norman North reach the 6A state championship game.

The son of Jean and Avery Hicks … has two siblings, Tiffanie and Alex … a business major.
