Lindenwood:
2014- Honorable mention all-MIAA as both a running back and kickoff returner … appeared in 11 games and started nine contests … had a team-high five touchdowns, with two rushing, two receiving, one on a kickoff return … led the team with 378 rushing yards on 119 attempts …second on the team with 33 receptions, and was fourth on the squad with 283 receiving yards … led the team with 1,062 all-purpose yards and 96.5 all-purpose yards a game … returned 20 kickoffs for 401 yards … the 401 kickoff return yards were the fifth-most in school history for a season … had a 97-yard kickoff return touchdown in the second half of the win over Washburn … that return was the third-longest return in school history … scored touchdowns in fourth straight games starting with the Northwest Missouri contest … had a season-high 21 rushes against Nebraska-Kearney … recorded a season-best 71 rushing yards against Central Missouri … had season-bests of seven receptions, 95 receiving yards and 177 all-purpose yards against Central Missouri … had season-long plays of 22 yards rushing and 61 yards receiving … set a school record with eight kickoff returns against Northwest Missouri, and his 121 kickoff return yards were the tenth-most in school history for a game … named the team’s Special Teams Player of the Week against Washburn, the team’s Offensive Player of the Week versus Central Missouri, and won the team’s Hammer award against Missouri Southern. 

Prior to Lindenwood:
Attended Fullerton College for two years … helped lead Fullerton to the 2013 State Championship game … was a 2013 first-team all-region  and all-conference offensive performer at the all-purpose position … rushed for 1,061 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2013 … averaged 7.4 yards per rush and 81.6 yards per game … caught 10 passes for 106 yards and one touchdown … returned 10 kickoffs for 389 yards and two touchdowns … had a team-high 119.7 all-purpose yards a game and led the squad with 15 total touchdowns … as a freshman, rushed for 390 yards and three touchdowns, and caught six passes for 29 yards … averaged 27.7 yards per kickoff return and had one return touchdown … in track and field, was the state long jump champion.
 
High School:
An all-conference performer … rushed for over 1,000 yards in his junior and senior seasons … as a senior, rushed for 1,528 yards and 18 touchdowns … averaged 6.3 yards per carry and 117.5 yards per game that year … as a junior, rushed for 1,149 yards and 10 touchdowns … a state champion in track and field in the long jump.

Personal:
The son of Demetrius Barnes … has three siblings, Kenyatta, Sharzay, and Wayatica … an exercise science major.
