Prior to Lindenwood:
A member of the SIU-Carbondale football squad from 2015-17 … played in 14 games, and recorded 16 tackles, including 15 solo tackles, 1.0 tackles for loss, and eight pass breakups … redshirted his first season, and was named to the MVFC Academic Honor Roll … played in five games with one start in 2016 … had eight tackles and four pass breakups … appeared in nine games in 2017, and had eight tackles and four pass breakups.

2014 First-Team All-State … rated as the 11th best cornerback in the state of Illinois by Rivals.com … named to USA Today's All-USA Illinois Football Team in 2014 … special mention All-State defensive back in 2014 by the Chicago Tribune and Champaign News-Gazette ... three-time all-conference selection ... first-team Big 12 all-star selection as a sophomore defensive back by the Bloomington Pantograph in 2012 ... in his career, recorded 78 tackles, six interceptions, and 23 pass breakups ... did not give up a touchdown in his senior season ... played quarterback as a senior, throwing for 1,537 yards and 18 touchdowns … also rushed for 1,210 yards and 18 more touchdowns ... also participated in basketball.
