Shawn Nagel has served as an Academic Coordinator, in Lindenwood's Academic Success Center, since it was created in 2012.
Nagel has previously served in the capacities of Strength and Conditioning, serving as a professor in the Health Sciences Department, and as the Defensive Coordinator for football here at Lindenwood from 2004-2010. This was one of Lindenwood’s most successful periods as they won multiple conference championships and played in the National Championship game in 2009. Â
Prior to coming to St. Charles, Nagel also coached at Ottawa (Kan.) University, where he was also the defensive coordinator, and at Kansas Wesleyan. The Kansas native also has worked on staffs at Fort Hays (Kan.) State and Bemidji (Minn.) State. Â During Nagel's time at his stops he has served in some capacity as the team's academic liaison and Strength coach.
Nagel is proudly married to Sara Nagel, and has three children, Chase, Slade, and Liam.
