Biography
2012-13 (Freshman): Played in 21 games during the 2012-13 season…ranked first on the team in shooting percentage (.333) with five goals and three assists on 15 shots... had one game-winning goal on the season. He finished the season with a +7 on-ice rating... had seven penalties for 25 minutes. Barra registered his first career assist during the Lions 4-3 overtime loss against the University of Central Oklahoma (9/28/12) and scored his first career goal against the Bronchos in a 4-3 regulation loss the following night (9/29/12)....netted his lone game-winning goal in the team's 5-3 win over the University of Indiana (1/26/13)...
Prior to LU: Cody Barra joins the Lions after playing with the Rochester Ice Hawks of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League (MNJHL), recording 12 goals and 16 assists in 41 games during the regular season. He also had 3 goals and an assist in six postseason games for the Ice Hawks. In his lone season with Rochester, Barra spent 196 minutes in the sin bin as the team leader in penalty minutes.
