Biography

2012-13 (Sophomore): Played in 33 games for Lindenwood...recorded seven goals and eight assists...tied for fifth on the team in scoring...tied for eight on the team in assists...tied for sixth on the team in total points on the season...had two assists in the season-opening series versus the University of Central Oklahoma...netted his first goal of the season against the University of Oklahoma (11/3/12)...scored a season-high two goals in a 7-4 win versus the University of Illinois (1/11/13)...scored short-handed in a 5-3 victory over Indiana University (1/26/13)...recorded the game-winning goal in a 5-4 upset win against No. 1 Adrian College in the 2013 American Collegiate Hockey Association National Championship tournament (3/5/13)...received All-Tournament Second Team honors at the ACHA National Championship.

2011-12 (Freshman): Season Statistics
Played in 35 games for the Lions and scored nine goals and added eight assists for 17 total points...recorded one short handed and one power play goal on the season...registered two game-winning goals...recorded his first career point for the Lions with an assist in a 7-4 win against Minot State University (10/1/11)...netted a short-handed game-winning goal against Iowa State University (12/3/11)...recorded a power play goal against Indiana University (12/9/11)...tallied a season-high two goals against Ohio University (1/20/12)...scored a goal in the 2012 ACHA Division I National Championships during a semifinal loss to the University of Delaware.

Prior to LU: Sipila played the majority of the past two seasons with the Motor City Metal Jackets of the North American Hockey League (NAHL)...recorded nine goals, 15 assists, and 163 penalty minutes in 52 games for the Metal Jackets in the 2010-11 season. During the 2009-10 season, Sipila played 39 games for Motor City and registered three goals and three assists...he amassed 116 penalty minutes... also spent part of the 2009-10 season with the Albert Lea Thunder where he scored four goals and had an assist for the Thunder.
