Andrew Spillars is entering his second year with the Lindenwood men's lacrosse program in 2023. He is currently serving as the Boys Lacrosse Director at Lou Fusz Athletic along with his volunteer assistant position at Lindenwood.
Two Lions earned all-conference honors following the 2023 season, including Wesley Scurci and Flint Thielen on the ASUN All-Freshman Team. Scurci led the Lions in points with 30 and goals with 24. Thielen was fourth on the team in points with 18. Lindenwood ranked second best in the ASUN in penalty minutes per game with 2.00 as well as second best in caused turnovers per game with 9.25. The Black and Gold also ranked fourth in the ASUN in groundballs per game with 31.67. During the year, the team earned wins over LIU and Queens in its first NCAA Division I season.
Spillars comes to Lindenwood with an extensive coaching background, having previously been the Varsity Assistant Coach and Youth Coordinator at Lindbergh High School from 2016-2018 before making a return to the program in 2022. Spillars was also both a Varsity and JV Assistant Coach and Youth Coach at MICDS from 2018-2020.
The St. Louis, Mo. native spent his collegiate lacrosse years as a Missouri Baptist Spartan, where he was a three-time captain. He played there from 2016-2021, using up all of his eligibility as a Spartan midfielder. While at MBU, Spillars attained a masters degree in business administration, and was a two-year Student Athlete Advisory Council Member.
