Scotty Barnes is entering his third season as the assistant coach of Lindenwood track & field in 2022.
Under Barnes’ assistance, four Lions earned NCAA Championship qualifiers for the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2021. At the GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, both the men’s and women’s teams finished in fifth place. Barnes helped coach four men’s track & field All-Americans, eight men’s track & field All-Region honorees, and nine All-GLVC earners. In the classroom, the track & field men's and women's teams combined for 40 Academic All-GLVC selections.
In 2020, Barnes helped the men's and women's programs finished seventh at the GLVC Indoor Championships, however, the NCAA Division II Championships and the outdoor season were canceled due to COVID-19.
