Matthew Mata’u will be entering his second year as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Performance Coach at Lindenwood University. Mata’u will be working with the Track team (sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers and pole vaulters), Men’s and Women’s Rugby, and assisting with the Football team. Mata’u has also served as an Athletic Performance Intern at the University of Iowa, University of Missouri, as well as Lindenwood University.

Mata’u is originally from Laie, Hawaii. A graduate of the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Dec 2017) with a degree in Biological Sciences, he will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Performance at Lindenwood University. He holds the following certifications: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), CPR and AED.
