Christa Reisinger is entering her fourth season as the assistant coach of the Lindenwood softball team in 2025.
In 2024, Reisinger helped the Lions to a 25-25 record, their most wins during the Division I era. Reisinger coached two players (Mya Bethany and Chloe Honchar) who hit over .290. She also helped coach Irelynn West who was a First Team All-OVC selection. Lindenwood hit .235 in 2024 including .249 at home where they went 12-5.
In 2023, the Lions went 16-32, including an 8-15 mark against OVC competition. Lindenwood finished with a winning record at home (12-10) and swept eventual conference champion Eastern Illinois late in the year at Lou Brock Sports Complex. Irelynn West and Dallis Darnell earned all-conference honors with West being a second-team selection and Darnell being named to the all-newcomer team.Â
In her first season, Reisinger helped lead Lindenwood to a 35-13 record, including a 21-7 mark inside conference play. The Lions earned a bid to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional, the first in program history. .the team claimed the No. 4 seed. Lindenwood earned a notable win over No. 2 UIndy in late April, the highest-ranked victory in program history.
A four-year starter for Truman State from 2016-19, Reisinger was a three-time NFCA and D2CCA All-American, and was thrice recognized as the GLVC Player of the Year. In the classroom, she finished as a three-time Google Cloud Academic All-American and All-District selection, and was a two-time GLVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Over her playing career with the Bulldogs, Reisinger finished with a .480 batting average in 209 games (208 starts), while accumulating 38 home runs and 133 RBI. She tallied 246 runs, 331 hits, 93 extra-base hits, and slugged .751. The left-handed outfielder walked 102 times while being hit by nine pitches, and stole 179 bags.
Reisinger is a native of Troy, Mo. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in agriculture science, business management from Truman State in 2019.
