Glenn Knaebel is entering his fourth season as an assistant coach and pitching coach for the Lindenwood softball team.
In his first season at Lindenwood, Knaebel helped Lindenwood go 30-23 overall and finished second in its final season in the HAAC. Over the last two seasons, Knaebel has been a member of the coaching staff that has led the Lady Lions from the NAIA to the NCAA Division II level. In 2013, Lindenwood improved its ERA by over half a point and the pitching staff had double-digit wins in its first season as a member of the MIAA.
Knaebel came to Lindenwood with over 11 years of softball coaching and playing experience. Knaebel was an assistant coach for NCAA Division I, St. Louis University. During his time at Saint Louis, Knaebel helped lead the Billikens to a third and fourth place showing in the Atlantic 10. In 2002, he helped guide the pitching staff to a school record 15 shutouts and it won a school record 30 games. The pitching staff, which produced two conference Pitcher of the Week honors, allowed only 18 home runs while recording a 2.70 team ERA.
Before landing at Saint Louis, Knaebel was the head coach of the Missouri Madness. While the head coach of the Madness he led the team to five (03-04-05-06-08) 18u Missouri ASA State Championships, resulting in five ASA National appearances with two top-20 finishes.
