Reese comes to Lindenwood University by way of Springfield College in Illinois (now Benedictine University at Springfield) and Truman State University.  Reese completed his associate in arts degree at Springfield College in Illinois while playing baseball.  He earned Academic All-Conference Awards in each of his two years and was named an Academic All-American during his sophomore season.  After graduating from Springfield College, Reese went on to play at Truman State University.  There, he helped lead Truman to the most conference wins (at the time) in school history while garnering MIAA All-Conference recognition on the field and in the classroom.

Following his playing career at Truman, Reese remained with the program and took over as the team’s strength and conditioning coordinator. Following graduation, Reese returned home to continue his strength and conditioning and coaching career with the Benedictine University at Springfield’s baseball program.

Reese’s other coaching experience prior to Lindenwood include time at EXOS (previously Athletes’ Performance) and with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Summer Collegiate Baseball League. He interned with the world-renowned EXOS in Phoenix, Ariz. as a performance specialist.  During his time at Athletes’ Performance, he learned the methodology and training principles that have been utilized with EXOS’s elite clientele.  Reese had the opportunity to work alongside some of the top strength and conditioning specialists in the U.S. while training high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. With the Kettleers, Reese helped lead the team to a Cape Cod League Championship, and had over 20 players drafted or signed by MLB teams.

Reese is originally from Rochester, Ill., and he graduated from Chatham-Glenwood High School. Reese completed his master’s degree in human performance from Lindenwood, and serves as an instructor in the exercise science department.
